A village from Caras Severin county , inhabited by Croatians, people who fled from the Turks. They established here around 1690.
In 2002,there were 560 inhabitants,out of which 537 Croatians, 15 Romanians, 7 Gypsies and 1 German.
The church dates back to 1825.
