Semenic, a flower and a mountain

Semenic Mountain ( 1447 m Piatra Goznei Peak)   is a ski resort in the Semenic-Cheile Carașului National Park, in  Banat region . Its name represents the name of a rare flower that grows in the wilderness.  Besides the attractive sights that appear in front of your eyes, there are not many things to be done here. The destroyed hotels and buildings, that once accommodated hundreds of people, seem to be the setting of a horror movie.

There are some skking camps organised here during winter, when Semenic becomes a merry and lively place. A small church from the 19th century ( Sf. Ilie) stands  tall in front of us.
